Match report The 2nds notched up their 3rd win in a row at a blisteringly hot Grace Dieu Park II. Grace Dieu won the toss and elected to bat. Early wickets put Barwell in a strong position but middle order partnerships took Grace Dieu to 79 for 3. There was then a devastating spell from Chris Moore and Sam Taylor who took 5 wickets for 2 runs between them. A frustrating last wicket partnership of 20 took Grace Dieu to 101 all out off 35 overs. Chris ended with 5 for 28 and Sam 3 for 12. The Barwell innings was opened by Adey Baker and Tommy Wright. With 55 overs available their steady approach put on 31 for the first wicket. Tommy fell first for 17 and then John Morley scored a brisk 13. Josh Moore came in at No 4 and scored a powerful 30*, which included five 4s. Adey anchored the innings and was 28* when the winning runs were scored. Today's victory takes Barwell to 5th in the table.
