Match report Barwell 2nd XI suffered a disappointing defeat at home to Market Bosworth 1st XI.

On Losing the toss Barwell were asked to bat first and openers Liam Tillin and George Baker struggled against some tight bowling.

Baker was the first to fall with the score on 20 and Tillin was third man out when he was caught for 22 with the score on 45. Barwell went on to lose 5 wickets for two runs as they went from 45 for 2 to 46 for 7.

Sam Taylor with 11 and Matt Welsh with 10 were the only other batsmen to reach double figures as Barwell were bowled out for 70.

Market Bosworth were determined to finish the game as soon as possible and only lost one wicket, N Taylor bowled by George Rolfe for 7, in reaching their winning score of 73 for 1.
