Match report This morning sees Barwell outside the bottom 3 after their 3rd victory in a row.

With Nick Hines leading the team, Barwell bowled first and kept Syston in check by taking regular wickets through good bowling and excellent catching. The wickets were shared between the 4 bowlers with Lee Skene (3 for 34), Kyle Newall (3 for 42), Liam O'Rourke (2 for 25) and Nick Hines (2 for 45).

A solid opening partnership between Tommy Wright and Adam Smith saw Barwell reach 50 before Tommy was bowled for 22. At the same time Adam Smith looked in total control and together with Liam O'Rourke put on 50 for the 3rd wicket before he was caught behind for 40.

Liam O'Rourke continued to smash the Syston bowlers to all parts of the ground, striking 10 4s and 2 6s in his 63 not out. It was only right that Liam should hit the match winning 4 as Barwell won by 5 wickets.
