Match report Barwell 1sts travelled to Barkby and found some early rain which reduced the game to 34 overs each. When the rain eventually cleared stand-in skipper, Ady Baker, won the toss and elected to bowl first.

After a first wicket stand of 37 off the opening 11 overs wickets began to fall at regular intervals. Barkby's innings closed on 109 for 9 off their 34 overs. Once again the wickets were shared amongst the bowlers, Ady Baker (2 for 20), Nick Hines (2 for 23), Lee Skene (2 for 31) and Ben Betteridge (1 for 18).

Barwell's reply got off to a steady start as Tommy Wright and George Baker looked to see off the opening bowlers. Tommy fell first as he was bowled for 21 and George followed shortly after as he was bowled for 12 to leave Barwell on 41 for 2 after 15 overs.

The in form Paul Pierce came in at number 4 and struck a quick fire 15 before Josh Moore (31 not out) and Brad Harvey (15 not out) saw Barwell to their winning total with 10 overs to spare.

The win sees Barwell consolidate their 2nd position in the table as the top four begin to pull away from the chasing pack.
