Match report Barwell 1sts won a tense game at home to Loughborough Greenfields in a game which ebbed and flowed from the start.

Batting first Barwell made a disastrous start losing their top 5 batsmen to single figure scores. Luckily for Barwell the middle and lower order were able to put some partnerships together as first Brad Harvey and Jack Smith, with 25 and 20 respectively, and then Ben Betteridge and Adey Baker, with 43 and 32 respectively, took the score to a challenging 182 for 9 off their 45 overs.

Greenfields' reply got off to a flying start before Adey & Betty reduced them to 97 for 5 off 15 overs. With rain fast approaching Greenfields took their score to 161 for 8, before the umpires brought the players off for rain for the final time. This left Greenfields 4 runs short of the adjusted target and gave Barwell a hard fought victory.

The wickets were shared between Adey Baker (4 for 32), Ben Betteridge (3 for 35) and Nick Hines (1 for 14).
