Match report Barwell kept their promotion hopes alive with a complete all round team performance against third placed Ketton Sports.

Barwell won the toss and put Ketton into bat and had them in trouble from the start as opening bowlers Ben Betteridge and Lee Skene made instant inroads. Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals as Ketton struggled to cope with probably the best bowling attack in the division.

In the end Ketton were all out in the 37th over for just 113. The wickets were shared between Nick Hines (3 for 18), Ben Betteridge (3 for 24), Liam O'Rourke (2 for 28), Lee Skene (1 for 30) and Ady Baker (1 for 4).

In reply, Barwell lost a couple of early wickets before George Baker and Danny Moran steadied the innings with 16 and 14 respectively. However, it was skipper Jack Smith who took his side to victory with 28 not out, receiving good support from Brad Harvey (16) and Ben Betteridge who finished on 18 not out.

The win keeps Barwell in second place with just one game to play, but with Shree Sanatan hot on their heels. Barwell travel away to already promoted Melton Mowbray for their last game of the season, knowing that a win will see them promoted.
