Match report Barwell's run of victories came to an end in another thriller of a game.

Bowling first, Barwell's bowlers did well in the initial stages, only to let things slip in the last few overs, with the opposition number 10 batsman ending on 41 not out. This enabled Mahers to reach 221 for 8 off their 40 overs. The wickets were shared between Ash Washington (3 for 13), Paul Pierce (2 for 24), Liam Castle (2 for 29) and Nathan Clarke (1 for 22).

Barwell's run chase was a real team effort with 8 batsmen making double figures. Liam Castle and Andy Clarke, with 34 and 32 respectively, made the major contributions, with support from Nathan Clarke (24), Ash Washington (22).
