Match report After a week of near constant rain, Barwell 2nds were lucky to make a 1pm start against Aryans.

Bowling first, Barwell took regular wickets as the opposition appeared to want to score off every ball. A good fielding and catching performance saw Barwell bowl their opposition out for 157 in the 31st over.

The wickets were shared between Nathan Clarke (2 for 13), Aiden Page (2 for 25), Ash Washington (2 for 34), Paul Pierce ( 2 for 46) and Liam Castle (1 for 37).

Unfortunately the heavens opened during the tea interval which left the square cover in puddles. The game was eventually abandoned without Barwell being able to start their innings and Barwell will look to continue their season next week away at Long Whatton 2nds.
