Match report Barwell continued their good form on Thursday nights with an 8 wicket win over Griff Crew.

Griff Crew batted first and got off to a flying start before Ben Betteridge went through their middle order as he bowled 3 batsmen in his last over. Griff Crew eventually reached 116 for 9 off their 18 overs with the wickets being shared between Ben Betteridge (4 for 27), Liam Tillin (2 for 17) and Andy Clarke (2 for 26).

Danny Moran & Brad Harvey got the run chase off to a good start without having to take too many chances. It came as a surprise when Brad was caught on the boundary for 23 having put on 79 for the first wicket. Eddie Cross then put on a quick 13 before being bowled by the ball of the season!!

Andy Clarke came to the wicket with only 10 required for victory and 3 runs required for Danny's 50. Andy did well to rein himself in and get Danny back on strike to score a well deserved 50.

The win see Barwell retain their top spot with only 3 matches of the season left.
