Match report Barwell secured the league title with 2 games to spare after an 8 wicket win away at Newdigate.

The damage was done when Barwell asked the home team to bat first on a wicket which had been exposed to the week's heavy rain. The bowlers did their job well and restricted the opposition to 58 for 7 off their 16 overs. Ben Betteridge and George Rolfe both claimed 3 for 13 off their 4 overs, with the other wicket being claimed by Liam O'Rourke.

Barwell's reply was never in doubt as Paul Pierce & Jack Smith took Barwell to the verge of victory. Jack was eventually caught for 17 with only 3 runs required for victory, but it was fitting that Paul hit the winning runs as he finished on 36 not out.
