Match report Barwell travelled to Attleborough to play the rearranged Fellowship Cup semi final in the Nuneaton Thursday League.

On losing the toss Barwell were asked to bat on a wicket that had suffered with the recent bad weather. Tommy Wright and Danny Moran got Barwell off to a good start with 22 and 18 respectively before there was a flurry of wickets. Paul Pierce came in at number 5 and top scored with a good 25. Ash Washington then finished the innings with a 10 not out as Barwell were bowled out for 92 in the 18th over.

Attleborough suffered an early loss as Liam O'Rourke ran out their opener with a direct hit from fine leg. The 2nd wicket stand of 53 was finally broken when Liam Castle bowled their other opener for 25. Attleborough needed a run a ball to win over the last few overs, but good catches by Ash Washington, Eddie Cross and Tommy Wright brought the last over with Attleborough needing 11 to win. Ash handled the pressure well and claimed two wickets whilst only conceding 5 runs to give Barwell a 5 run victory.

All the bowlers performed well with Ash Washington claiming 2 for 12 off his 3 overs and Liam Castle 2 for 23 off his 4 overs.
